June 2009 Blog

Wow, so much has happened since I last blogged. oops. :) Well, here goes the news.

The biggest thing that has happened since February: I applied to Lee University and was accepted. yay! At 26 years old I will be going back to school. I am nervous but very thrilled to start. Pray I do well. I am majoring in Psychology.

L turned 4 in May(23rd). H turned 6 in June (11th). They both had their check-ups and are both 85-90% in both height and weight on the pediatric charts! Tall girls! :)

We planted our first garden on Mother's Day; we are growing corn, watermelon and cucumbers. It is all organic so I pray it turns out well, it seems to be growing really fast and looking good. We still want to plant tomatoes and pumpkins and need to hurry if we are going to get to it. Maybe this week.

Will finished his first year (at Lee) and has had some classes this summer as well. He is still planning to graduate December 2010. I'm so happy for him, he has worked really hard and I know he will make a great pastor! He is still teaching K the piano and she is learning really well and has even played around making her own music and it is starting to sound really good.

We were finally able to go to Build-a-bear and make Ella her bear last weekend. We all wrote something on a piece of paper and stuffed it in with the heart. Now we have her bear and it wears the first shirt that was bought for her. We decided to name it Jean and L started calling it Baby Jean and it stuck. :)

I would say that we have all been our usual normal selves, but I really can't. We have all been growing and learning everyday. God is so good.

I finished a book of devotions for kids tonight with the girls and all of the devotions have been so good. It is filled with wonderful quotes from people like Max Lucado and Gloria Gaither as well as short verses from the Bible that the girls can memorize.

Oh, and I can not forget about Chocolate! She is still so precious and hyper, I am beginning to wonder if that will ever change. :) She stays outside in her doghouse the majority of the time but every now and then (once a month, really) we bring her in, give her a bath and cuddle her to pieces! She had her 1st birthday and then as of May 30th we officially have had her 1 year. What a loving dog she has become.

And on that note I will leave you. Until next time...

"If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning." ~Max Lucado
