A New Year

I can't believe it is 2010.

Life is good and our little family is well. We will have some big events taking place this year. I will have my 10 year High School reunion as well as Will and I will celebrate 10 years of marriage. Throw all of our birthdays and holidays into the mix and it makes for a year to look forward to.

Will and I finished our Fall 09 semester at Lee with great grades. My first semester back in school in 9 years and I got a 3.86 term GPA. I was very pleased. We moved to Cleveland, so we are closer to school and it is tons better with time and gas mileage.

K is almost as tall as me now and doing great. She loves to bake, play with her little sisters, and teach/preach to us from her Bible, such a blessing to have around. She recently began playing with the strawberry shortcake toys, and even got a few more for Christmas. It is so funny to watch them play with the types of toys that I had when I was young. We got her a kitty around the end of September and she has done an excellent job of taking care of her (she named her Suzie). It is nice that she is getting older now and cleaning up her room, helping around the house and doing a few small chores.

H is still very energetic, we need to come up with new ways to keep her entertained. hehe. I am amazed at how quickly she picks up on new things, she loves to learn. Her love for reading and ability to read has grown so much over the past semester. On Christmas Eve she lost her 2nd tooth, and it made the night even more special. She is really growing up into a young lady. Her current interest is in dinosaurs. She loves to learn about them, play with dinosaur figures and look at pictures of them. I am very excited about getting our passes to the Creative Discovery Museum this year, I think she will love it!

L is really talkative. She has always been pretty vocal, but it seems over the past 6 months she has gotten louder. Maybe it's the age (4 1/2), I don't know. She is such a cuddle bug and loves to be wherever I am most of the time. If she is not by my side, she is in her room playing Barbies (her fave). She is growing out of her baby smallness and is taller than most her her peers. We are still working on her handwriting I know it will take time, but she will get it. I am going to work with her through this semester and the summer to get her on track for Kindergarten in the Fall. I can't believe our youngest is that age!

We are still homeschooling the girls and they love it, we love it, it's just working great for our family. Our plan is to homeschool them until 9th grade at which point they will attend a small private school. That way they will be better prepared for the college experience as far as what the expectations of the professors will be.

Chocolate is LOVING being a lazy inside dog now, and she even likes the cat (shh, it's a secret). I feel so much better about her being inside now too, I couldn't imagine her being out there in these freezing temps.

I'm so glad I had a minute to update today. Spring semester starts back the 13th, so life will get crazy once again. Hope everyone has a happy new year.. and stay warm!
